Well here we are, after all the joking about deleting the army and ending it over the past couple months the day has finally arrived. On June 14th I made the announcement that the Royals army will officially be shutting its doors. This decision is something we always had in the back of our heads ever since CPO shut down. We actually were planning to shut down after CPO died but then we just couldn't let go at all and we wanted to give CPATG a shot and our army still remained strong in CPATG. But as it shuts down this means we would have to operate on another CPPS which will also shut down due to Disney and we would have to move again. Basically right now the Club Penguin community is very unstable and it is something we don't want to stress over. Now we could have easily pulled through but it is something we, the current leaders, didn't want to do anymore. We haven't decided this on a bad note and nothing was wrong at all we just simply didn't want to do it anymore. We thought it would be just time to move on. Although the Royals ended the Army League community still stands. Erika, Brooke, and Marissa decided they wanted to be Ice Warrior Trusted Staff and I, Teaska, moved to SWAT become a commander. Before we actually officially shut down we announced we would have a goodbye event. During this event we had a lot of fun as we did some throwback tactics with memories and huge ones since the our custom CPPS has a 220 character limit. It is the only event I consider to be an event I loved and hated at the same time. Loved it because of the nostalgia and hated it because it was our last event. So most of you reading this are probably wondering if Royals will ever make a return. Maybe one day when there is a stable, popular enough CPPS that doesn't have hopes of getting taken down by Disney Royals will maybe make a return, but it is hard to give an accurate enough answer. But the answer I will give you is that sometime in the future Royals will return. As you saw in the title I have named this an end to a chapter, or generation. This is because I don't want this to be the complete end of the Royals, but the end for a while. Something I also want to mention is that I am proud and grateful for all of you. I know I only mentioned the current High Command and Leaders in my announcement but I just want you to know that if you had a part to play in the Royals whether you were an ally, a troop, Court in Training, or really whatever I am extremely grateful for you and what you have done for Royals. It is really crazy to think that all of this happened because I said as a joke one day that we should do what the Pirates are doing and just make our own army. Turns out this joke grew into this, this big thing that I lead that makes people happy and cures their boredom by going to events. It is insane to think that the first month in March 2019 I was thinking this isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon and ending here on June 2020 looking back and being extremely happy and proud for what we have accomplished. So thank you for the ride, It was an amazing one. Love you guys, Royals Fucking Forever.

This week has been kind of a slow week for the Royals. For our only highlight this week we have announced our 3rd edition of the Royal Olympics on Saturday 6/13. If you were a member of the Royals previously you would remember that in the summer and winter of 2019 we held the Royal Olympics with themes of fruits and flowers. Members could join a team and compete in different games to win medals. This summer we went with an Avatar theme with teams being Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. If you want to participate and you haven't joined already you can join here. Thursday 6/11 - On Thursday we held a Fish Takeover event were we maxed 21. What was our lowest number max the previous week, became our highest max this week. We had a lot of fun with this event with the goofy outfits and tactics. Saturday 6/13 - On Saturday we had a practice battle against our ally, SWAT. In this event we maxed 19. The battle was a close one with us and SWAT having similar sizes. We ended up going into overtime but SWAT came out victorious. We tied two rooms and SWAT won the other 2. Great battle and it was a lot of fun especially with Regan singing Wonderwall, although I am kind of sad as I was told I didn't make the cut for Shadow Troops in a SWAT tactic. But regardless, it was a good time and good practice. Sunday 6/14 - The week ends with the Top Ten being released. This week we have placed 8th in the CPAL Top Ten. We went down one spot because of the Alberto Warriors, which is just a meme army. But next week will will get back out 7th spot and hopefully go up even more. Also we have gotten 11th place in the CPAM Universal Top Ten. So that wraps up our Royal Week in Review. This week we reached the maxes of 21, 19, and 19 again with our Help Force Legends Cup battle. Hopefully next week we can see an increase in size and advance in the Top Ten. Royals Forever!
The most notable thing to note in this week is that the Royals participated in Legends Cup X, which is an army tournament most of the community competed in. On Thursday 6/4 we went up against the Vikings with a max of 21 and it ended as a royal victory with the score being 3-0. We moved onto the second round against our old allies, Help Force. If you weren't around for the glorious National Army Alliance (NAA) days then you probably don't remember our relationship together. Help Force was our very first ally and we joined them in the NAA along with the Aliens. We went up against them in the Legends Cup second round on Monday 6/8. Despite of our fast tactics and form, we were not able to outplay the Help Force which took a 3-0 victory against us since they were double our size and faster. Nonetheless, the battle was really fun and kinda nostalgic. Another highlight of this week is that we introduced 4 trial courts to add to our high command. Accepted applications were Camotes, Rae, Lewis, and our very own royal legend, Haley. Which ones will prove they are a right fit for high command? only time will tell. We also had 3 royal advisors come in which were Sweater, Aubz, and another royal legend, Lydia. Now since we got our highlights, let's break down this week. Tuesday 6/2 - On Tuesday, we held a war training event and we maxed 30. The purpose of this event was to, well do I really have to explain? We did this in preparation for the first round of the Legends Cup against the Vikings. This was a very successful event as we performed really well and we were ready to compete for the second round spot. Thursday 6/4 - Royal Victory against Vikings with a max of 21, We move on to the second round against Help Force Saturday 6/6 - We held a Pride Event and maxed 21, It was not our best event but we still pulled through strong with our tactics and a good enough size. Like I say all the time, RCP Saturday events are always hit or miss. I am either just very confused or really proud of Royals on Saturdays. Sunday 6/7 - Our Sunday started really well as the CPAL top ten armies were released and we were given the number 7 spot, still remaining to be the best small/medium army in the army league. Another thing that happened on Sunday is that we were famous for a minute in the Army League news. Our friend Regan from Ice Warriors (IW) wrote a satire post about a furry outbreak in the Royals server (lmao) if you want to read about it you can here https://cpoarmyleague.com/index.php/2020/06/07/the-royals-pandemic/ which I highly suggest as it is a good read. Speaking of IW, we officially allied with them on Sunday. Also on Sunday we declared war on Animal Kingdom mainly just because we wanted additional territory and personally I was bored and wanted a good battle. But because of issues with Animal Kingdom's leadership they decided to shut down. I was very upset that the Furry Wars, as I call it, was not going to happen. But to end our juicy Sunday our ally, One Direction Army, transferred us the server Bobsled as the great ally they are. Monday 6/8 - Our week ends with the second round of the Legends Cup against the Help Force, like I said before it was a fun battle but Help Force took the 3-0 lead knocking us out of the Legends Cup. But we say good luck to our allies Elites and Ice Warriors who still remain in the tournament and have moved up to the third round. So that concludes our first Royal Week in Review. Overall it was a good week for the Royals and let's hope next week we remain strong. Cheers to the Royals! Today Mehak and Lucy have announced that they decided to step down as staff. It was very difficult to accept this news as we have made tons of memories with them. They have really helped out the Royals so much and made so many outstanding improvements to the army and I am very proud of them for doing so. Mehak and Lucy both played a huge part in the growth of Royals and to be honest I don't think we would have accomplished so much without them. Losing them broke a piece in our hearts but it happens to us for the greater good. But they won't be leaving entirely from the community, as they didn't want to be leaders anymore which is totally understandable. Leading an army is a sense of huge responsibility, both Mehak and Lucy have been leading for a reasonable amount of time for them to decide that their days of leading the Royals are going to be brought to an end. For those of you who aren't familiar these two, I will explain.
Lucy first joined Royals in March as the 9th member of the server. Everything that has happened to the server, she was there to witness it. Lucy is a very sweet person and that fits to make someone that is a great leader, and she turned out to be one too. She was always someone that wanted to solve the solution to a problem that nobody could get hurt in the end. She was always looking for a better, smarter way around the problem. Lucy has been a great addition to the staff here at Royals and I am very upset that someone like this will leave our team. Mehak first joined Royals in June of 2019, but not becoming staff until February 2020. I am not going to lie I didn't know much about Mehak from when she first joined as i left and she joined pretty much at the same time. But from visiting the server from time to time i knew that she was a great person and we clicked from there. She has done so much for the army and helped changed things to make everything better and our troops happy. So seeing her leave staff after knowing all the things she has done for our army is upsetting. The Royals have accomplished so much with Mehak and Lucy, and we are all very sad that this decision had to make light, but it happens for the best. So to Mehak and Lucy, I wish you both good luck in your continuation of the army league community and I am truly honored to have fought by your side :) |
